Getting out of the car I saw the hawk soaring on the currents rising off the hills behind the house.
Gliding along with seemingly effortless power.
It banked into an invisible updraft and just floated there
Motionless against the blue blue late afternoon sky.
Riding the wind.
Still as could be.
Totally Zen.
A beautiful, beautiful, majestic sight.

I walked into the house still buzzing from the experience    and passed by the orchids who said,
“every breath can be a blessing. Every step can take you to the zoo”.
Or ………. “the new”.
They were giggling and I couldn’t quite make it out.
But I’m pretty sure they said “new”.

I love how those beautiful flowers can be so silly sometimes.
